AFRICAN YOUTH CONGRESS
The Congress functions as a Pan-African movement, uniting youth from all 55 African countries and the diaspora under the shared vision of an independent, self-sufficient, and culturally rooted Africa. Through its annual gatherings, policy dialogues, leadership training, and strategic collaborations with governments and institutions, AYC champions the principles of Africanism, modernization rooted in culture, and economic liberation

To create a united, self-reliant, and culturally empowered Africa driven by the energy, innovation, and leadership of its youth. The Africa Youth Congress (AYC) envisions a continent where young people are at the forefront of economic liberation, cultural preservation, and sustainable development, shaping policies that drive Africa’s transformation in alignment with Agenda 2063 and the ideals of Pan-Africanism.
Mission:
Through morally, economically, and politically sufficient strategic tools, AYC aims to facilitate the social, economic, and political cooperation and integration of Africa.
The mission of AYC is to:
- Empower African Youth: Equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to lead Africa’s development across all sectors.
- Promote African Identity & Culture: Advocate for the preservation and modernization of Africa’s rich cultural heritage as a foundation for progress.
- Advance Economic Liberation: Champion youth-led economic initiatives, entrepreneurship, and policies that ensure Africa’s economic independence.
- Foster Continental Unity & Collaboration: Strengthen cross-border partnerships among youth organizations, governments, and private sector players to drive collective action.
- Influence Policy & Governance: Provide a platform for African youth to engage in policymaking and governance, ensuring their voices shape Africa’s future.
- Support Innovation & Technology: Encourage the adoption of African-centered technological solutions that address local challenges and enhance global competitiveness.
